Membership

All active club members must hold a valid CFF license. Renewal of licenses are purchased on the Canadian Fencing Federation website. Please do not purchase a new license if you fenced before. Use the CFF license look up tool to find your license number and renew.
Beginners
Equipment is provided for all beginners and those fencers in their first session of fencing.

Training 
After fencing for a session (half season, Sept- Dec, Jan - May) fencers should equip themselves according to their level of competition. 

Membership 
All memberships run from Sep to the following Sep each year.
Purchase either a Competitive or Associate membership with Alberta Fencing Association through the Canadian Fencing Federation website.

Local Competition Requirements

  1. Be at least an Associate member of the Alberta Fencing Association. (Purchase membership though the CFF website)
  2. For Calgary Fencing League events, mask, glove, jacket, lamé (for foil and sabre). Equipment is provided for new beginners in their first session of fencing. 

Alberta Fencing Association

Sanctioned competitions and rankings maintained the the Alberta Fencing Association. Competitive members are able to register, and points leaders receive training grants and discounts to provincial team training opportunities.
Please check the list of equipment required for competing at this level of competition.

Canadian Fencing Federation 

National Championships and 2 regional Canada Cups are hosted annually. Register for competitions through the Canadian Fencing Federation.
